Attention calisthenics nuts, we’ve got an important one for you today on the subject of tight hip flexors!

If you’ve ever hit a brick wall in your progress and can’t figure out why, the answer might be lurking in plain sight.

You see, our hip flexors are the engine through which our body moves. They control balance, our ability to sit, stand, twist, reach, bend, walk and step.

When it comes to calisthenics, and indeed fitness and everyday life in general, EVERYTHING goes through the hips. So, tight hip flexors can cause a LOT of problems.

This may manifest itself as tightness and inflexibility of the hips, legs or lower back, niggling pains, poor posture or pot-belly, and lack of explosiveness or slugishness. Unfortunately, the longer you leave it, the worse it gets.

If you feel like you haven’t hit your PEAK, this critical component could be holding you back. Even if you feel tip-top, you might be surprised at how much more you could unlock. So, what can we do?

Unlock and unleash!

You better get on first name terms with the “mighty” psoas (pronounced so-az). It is the ONLY muscle connecting the upper body to the lower body, so if you were unsure of its importance before, it should be pretty clear now!

Unfortunately, simple static stretching alone isn’t enough to loosen up this key area. The good news is, our buddy Mike Westerdal has already created a simple program which explains exactly how to do it, step-by-step.

Add this into your routine if you want to:

Become more flexible, increase range of motion, improve posture and form, become more explosive, avoid injuries, gain strength and size.

If you’re serious about your results and want to then check it out below. Make this small investment in yourself today and you will soon smash through the barriers that are holding you back!

As always, the more you put in, the more you get out. So go on, take a step towards the next level NOW!
