Opinions:
You know we love our dips here at PCHQ and that’s what these bars are primarily used for. They offer good ground clearance for even the tallest of us, although being a compact unit you will of course have to tuck your legs to get right down.
What makes these parallettes different from your average dip station is that they are two completely separate units meaning they are a little more versatile.
They can be used for everything from push-ups and burpees to stretching out your legs before or after a workout. For a beginner they can also be useful as a general stability tool when learning new exercises.
This bit of kit allows you to go beyond regular exercise and move into the realm of true calisthenics. The high ground clearance means you can also practice knee tucks, leg raises, L-seats etc. with relative ease.
We didn’t find the bundled DVD to be of much use but if you’re new to this kind of equipment then it could be a very valuable inclusion.
Altogether this makes for a solid unit. We like the ground clearance for dips and other calisthenics movements and expect beginners will find this especially useful.
Price:
The Fuel Pureformance Deluxe Dip Station is available for $95.95 or £79.95 in the UK at the time of writing; a pretty significant saving off the RRP.
